“Somewhere in the world, there’s a big pelican who teaches the swallows how to swim”

A few facts:

• The pelican is from Australia, the swallows were born and raised in my neighbor’s barn
• And the newspaper article I made into a hat comes from the newspaper archive Delpher. It is about my great-great-grandfather who was a sailor: Captain Bloema
• I wrote a blog about the making of ‘The swallows swimming class.
