“‘Flying cows wearing wooden shoes while flying past the Ameland lighthouse. That must be Dutch Art.”

A few facts:

• These cows lived in the meadow opposite our house a few years ago, we could see them through our living room window.
• Not every Dutchman wears wooden shoes, but some of us do. These cows wear the clogs of my dear friend Bertus, who passed away a few years ago. These were his ‘indoor shoes’. Outside, he also wore wooden shoes, they were dirty. He kept his ‘indoor shoes’ neat and clean. So these are very chic shoes for the cows.
• In the Dutch Mountains is a 1987 song by the Dutch pop group The Nits. It was a hit when I was in high school. I love the sense of life it expresses, a longing for faraway foreign places when I was still too young and not allowed yet to go so far out into the world.

Limited editions:
15 prints 30x30cm | 5 prints 50x50cm | 3 prints 80x80cm.
Hand-signed and numbered art prints. Including a certificate of authenticity. The framed prints are sent in a handmade shopping box. The unframed prints are sent in a sturdy cardboard tube.

Please, pay attention; when you order your giclée in a Wooden Frame. The size of your choice is the outer side of the passe printout, not the size of the print.
For example, if you choose 30x30cm, the art print will be 20x20cm, and together with the passe-partout it makes 30x30cm.
