Fine Art Prints

I want the prints of my collages to be of high quality. My prints on paper are therefore always printed on Hahnemühle Photorag. I have mentioned this before. Photorag by Hahnemühle is my all-time favorite Fine Art paper. This acid- and lignin-free classic meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is specially designed for Fine Art applications. Fotolab Kiekie is certified by Hahnemühle to produce these prints. And they do so perfectly. I have been a satisfied customer for years now.

My prints on aluminium and in a floater frame are now provided by WilcoVak, who is a master of the ChromaLuxe technique. I chose this finish a while ago, shortly after I was introduced to this technique.

ChromaLuxe is a photo printed on aluminium using dye sublimation. The product stands for the clarity and vibrancy of photos on printed materials. The ink is applied to the coated top layer of aluminium through sublimation. The ink is transferred to the coating at a high temperature and under high pressure.

The surface is also highly scratch-resistant and moisture-resistant. Together with Epson archival inks, this creates a particularly durable work of art.

To be gallery-worthy and even museum-worthy, you want to be assured of a long-lasting work of art. With ChromaLuxe, you have that assurance. Henry Wilhelm, in his leading laboratory, Wilhelm Imaging Research, has given ChromaLuxe a benchmark of no less than 65 years. This means that only after 65 years can small visible colour changes occur.

The professionals at WilcoVak take care of my prints on ChromaLuxe. WilcoVak has been a Certified PLUS Lab since October 2020.
