Sometimes I wonder where AI will take us. I thought quite a lot about it in the last few days. I came to a this conclusion.

I think that in an ocean of possibilities you have to limit yourself precisely. So why let software search the internet for me, if I have an archive full of unique pictures I made myself? In that way, my work really belongs to me and no one else.

I like the searching and the puzzling. Not that AI artists don’t puzzle. Just not in this way.

No matter how clever and complicated AI pictures sometimes are, I see the same ‘slickness’ everywhere. And I love that you can actually see the edges and ‘the craft’.

So I came to the conclusion that I’m actually quite happy with what I’m making now. Not to say, very, very happy.
